“Read the entire script from start to finish and get behind the scenes” of Marvel’s Spider-Man, the PlayStation 4 exclusive from Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Marvel’s Spider-Man has been a huge success for Sony. We also rather liked. He even appeared as an Easter egg in Spider-Man: Far From Home. But given that Sony’s first-person domination strategy relies on great exclusives, Spider Man – released in 2018 – feels like the last big?

(Days Gone was dismal. Death stranding was good, Death stranding. And for the future, The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima were both pushed back. You can’t be the platform for “good exclusives” if you don’t have good news for exclusives.)

But back to our original thought: Marvel’s Spider-Man was excellent. If you’re looking for a glimpse into how the game went so well, then you could do a lot worse than Marvel’s Spider-Man Script Book, published by Marvel itself, with content from Insomniac Games.

“The Marvel’s Spider-Man Script Book represents a colossal collaborative effort between some of the most creative and hardworking people in the entertainment industry from Insomniac Games, PlayStation, Marvel Games and beyond. The amount of detail – a delicate and intricate web of connective narrative threads – that must enter into the dialogue, action, and drama of a video game is unmatched in any other medium. I don’t believe a video game script has ever been compiled into a script book format like this, so it really is a historical celebration and exploration of what it takes to create a remarkable original story. and memorable. – Eric Monacelli, Production Manager, Marvel Games.

Here’s a look at the contents of the book, including Spider-Man’s bedroom:

A confrontation with Sable:

And a fight with Mister Negative in the metro:

Marvel Spider-Man Script The book contains 240 pages of scripts, screenshots, illustrations, and other behind-the-scenes glimpses of game development.
